The Great Bruno

I don’t care how many times you saw this act, when Bruno would trip the lever and the sway pole fell away it would run a shiver up and down your spine. The gravity force had to be tremendous. Bruno must of had a strong body as not to be pulled apart.

George Bronaugh’s
I knew Bruno in the 50’s and 60’s (when I was a boy). He bought my father’s act and sway pole rigging after my father died (George Lanning of the Sensational Royals died in early 1949) which Bruno continued as the Sensational Meteors. He kept in touch.
If the family is interested in an early photo, please contact me.

That’s my grandfather! My mother is his daughter Melody who preformed on the poles and traveled!
Dave Lanning, I would be interested in more photos!
I am sorry say but my father NEVER bought that rigging- he made that rigging and I have pictures to prove it.
