William Boyd

Best known as Hopalong Cassidy, William Boyd was featured on Cole Bros. Circus. He also starred in numerous motion pictures and his famous television series. One of his side-kicks was Andy Clyde, know as California. Dad and I did a Christmas show with him in 1956. One of the things I remember about him was his infectious laugh.

Somewhere I have a video, “Enter Hopalong Cassidy”, at one point in the film Cassidy is walking with a limp, when questioned about it he replied, “just call me Hopalong”,
I have a small collection of old “B” westerns, including Gene Autry’s first film appearance in a Ken Maynard film, & Roy Rogers’ first appearance in a Gene Autry film, under the name Dick Weston.
