There is always someone that excels beyond the best in what they do. They are the that “one person” you learn from if your lucky. Every animal man I have ever known had an Icon trainer to fashion themselves after…to take just a little something and make it theirs. Reuben Castang knew the great Apes inside out and was the benchmark for many a chimp trainer. He came from Germany and brought his wonderful talent with him to Jungleland and the World Jungle Compound.

I am doing some research on Reuben Castang.
I have not been able to find any relatives of
Mr. Castang .
I would like to get in contact with them . I do
own a piece of history associated with Hagenbecks
and Reuben Castang .

Reuben Castang was my great uncle. I have his notebook which has acts which were ordered from him to be trained and then delivered. Also family memoirs. please feel free to contact me
