Olga Celeste perfromed with her leopards in her early years in vaudville. Later, she presented her act at the Luna Park Zoo not only with leopards but with lions as well .

Olga Celeste amazed insiders by becoming very close friends with Mabel Stark. Two main elements seemed forbidding. First Ms. Celeste was a blonde, and a good-looking one at that. Mabel didn’t want any other blondes on the lot at the same time with her. Then, Olga was a crack trainer of big cats. Mabel knew she wasn’t the only woman trainer, but she wanted it known so anyway. But the two hit it off from the beginning and maintained a life-long friendship. In my time with Mabel, she spoke often of driving down the freeways to visit with Olga. The one probable reason for Mabel liking Olga Celeste was that she was known as The Enchantress of Leopards, and never took interest in tigers.
