This was my Grandmothers home after J.E. Henry passed away, 1945. Before then they lived on Garvey, Blvd, this was J.E’s show winter quarters. Town of El Monte, Calif. In this photo along the side of the house is our trailer and car. During the winter we stayed here making it easier to play the Christmas shows in Los Angles. It was also a good time to visit with family. Down the street a few blocks stayed Glen and Todd Henry, on a lot they had rented. Hap Henry lived in San Fernando valley. My aunt Bertha lived here too and took care of grandmother. A few years later my father bought the home next door, there we lived for 18 years. El Monte was at that time a fine place to live. Never a problem with animals no matter how many. The Henry’s had MANY!
