Another Rare Photo
Posted By thecircusblog on November 7, 2017
On the right Jack Badal, the far left is his father Robert Badal The center person is Ted Gallup, a very rare photo of him. Ted perhaps is the last of the old bull men. He worked with Mac MacDonald, Cheerful Gardner and many others top elephant trainers. Ted was at the end of his career as a fine elephant handler. At the time of this photo he was living at Louie Goebels animal compound Jungleland, Thousand Oaks, Calif., As a past time Ted made bull hooks and platted wipes, which he sold to trainers. To own one of his works was considered an honor, because of the top grad workmanship and now have become collector items.

Good to see these photos from Jack Badall–a friend since first meeting him at Jungleland, in ’65. Also nice seeing a photo of Ted Gallup, the first I’ve seen in years.
