The Henry Elephant named “Gip”
Posted By thecircusblog on November 22, 2014
The photo says she was 110 yrs old ….I don’t believe that is accurate as I think she was in her eighties when she died. Gip or Gypsy as she was called sometimes, had been on other circuses before Grandfather bought her. She was not a very well elephant and nearing the end of her life when he bought her.
On the photo is written 110 along with some other flamboyant facts…… Thats just a little circus Bally Whooo.

According to some records from Bob Cline and Buckles Woodcock,
she was first shows up on record in 1885. She was a Ben Wallace elephant for about twenty years until William P. Hall bought her.
