Aueta Vargas #10

I believe this photo was taken on the Ringling show around 1958? I always called her Anita. The name Aueta came with the photo of her. We worked together on the Hubert Castle show in 1966.

My family “The Triska Troupe” also worked with Anita Vargas in the 1960’s and 1970’s with Hubert Castle Circus. Yes, it was Anita when we worked with her.

Hope you are surviving the winter OK. I received a request a while back about some of the RBBB spec images probably viewed on your website. She is planning a showing of Spec design and photos from RB from 1958 to 1960s so I was going over the image files and checking dates. I may have loused up the spelling of Miss Vargas name and have no way to verify where I came up with the spelling as ‘Aueta’, so please correct as necessary. All of the pics of her, Charles Moroski horses, Trevor Bale tigers, Lou Jacobs (cigar & Evening gown), Gene Lewis on Eagle float, and ‘belly dancer’ with jug are from the Ringling show in August of 1962 in Portland, Oregon.

Do you know where I can find a DVD of Gran Picaso’s full act with the Ringling Bros ?
I know her performed in Vegas for over 6 years . I saw him at the RADIO MUSIC hall in N . Y . He was fantastic ! One of a kind ! !
