Capell Bros Circus Parade With Joe E. Brown

Circus parade featuring Joe E. Brown old time comedian and movie actor. He was a great circus buff and would visit any circus any time he could. The third man on left is Bob Capell and in the center is Joe E. Brown. The others in and on the car, There names are unknown to me. Hugo, Oklahoma, 1954. Joe E. Brown ran away from home at the age of 10. He joined the circus and became part of a tumbling act called “The Five Marvelous Ashton’s”. In 1928 he did his first movie,”The Circus Kid”. In 1960 I met Mr. Brown at the Hollywood Comedy Club. What a gentlemen he was. In the conversation we had it was all circus. “As he said the circus was my first love.”
