Dear fellow Circus Performers, Circus Fans and Friends. 12-12 -11
I spoke to Rep. Schweikert’s office today and there might be a ray of hope regarding the H.R.3359 bill referenced in the above letter. I requested an audience with Congress whereby we could have a voice in this matter. I spoke of the horrendous impact it would have not only the American circus but on other types of animal entertainment as well if this bill were to be passed. I was told by his secretary she would call Rep. Schweikert in Washington and request a way that we could have our own representation before Congress.
She promised to get back to me in a day or so, but in the meantime all of you must start writing letters to your Congressmen now! I need your help. Let them hear our voice!

Ivan – Glad you are contributing to the effort to defeat HR3359. Are you familiar with the efforts of the CFA (Circus Fans Assn. of America)?? Advise your contacts that the CFA website has a tab (Grassroots circus fans) with all the facts regarding not only HR3359, but any/all such efforts by animal extremists, including lists and contact information so that your letters protesting HR3359 can reach ALL elected officials. We also need your help to defeat destructive legislation in Massachusetts, and we are readying to roll back destructive legislation elsewhere. The CFA’s website (See the grassroots campaigns tab) is a central place – a tool box – for all circus fans or people interested in helping us to preserve performing animals. This is a blip from the House Committee on Ag Chairman. He is against burdensome and unnecessary legislation, at least as it pertains to agriculture:
