Herbie Webber was famous for his “Slide for Life.” He also did a tight wire act. Herbie was a great showman….he did a bit in his act where he fell from the wire as he attempted to jump over an umbrella. The fall, of course, caught every one’s attention. He would attempt it again and succeed. On many occasions I saw a standing ovation.

Herbie did one of the best “brodies”,(fake fall), I ever saw, I used to watch him, & he would continue limping until he was completely out of sight of the audience.
Hello Bill,
You indeed have my permission any and all information concerning Aida from my blog.
I knew Herbie Webber all of my life. If you made an enemy of him, heaven help you if you worked in a 3 ring display with him doing his wire act. He would wait till your last finish great trick and then he’d pull his fall. Of course all eyes would be upon him and he would steal the thunder of the show. God bless him….he was a special friend to the Henry family.
Please stay in touch. Lots more to come on the blog.
Your circus friend,
Ivan
