In her own way, she was one of the greatest aerial performers. It is said that Maryse was a huge fan of Lillian Leitzel. I’m not surprised. I cannot say that there was one above all of the rest because that would be an arrogant statement. The women aerial performers I have seen, and there have been many, put their own personal touch and attributes into their act, hence all were magnificent.
