Hi Ivan, Just found your Circus Blog and enjoyed seeing all the Golden years of Showbusiness. Thanks to Dorothy Carson for submitting the photo of “Wilfred Mae Trio”
I remember the Royal skating act. Lots of these photos bring back fond memories.
I am the one on the left in the photo above and last of the Trio.
Started out at the Roxy theatre as a Roxyette then The Music Hall as a Rockette
Peaches Sky Revue – Karl Wallenda”s production #”s . Wilfred and Myrtle Gregory hoop jugglers invited me to join them in their act. The Wilfred Mae Trio is also known as the Gregories due to Wilfred’s Sur name.
From now on, — I will be a regular Circus Blog reader. This Blog was very enjoyable.
Thanks Ivan, and keep up the good work. Bertha Campisi
I grew up across the street from the Campisi’s. Would love to connect … I can’t believe the story my mom told me about Bertha being with the Circus is true, and then to see she’s still alive?! WOW!!

Hi Ivan, Would love to connect to the above comments.

and Patricia Watson.
Would appreciate an e-m address or they can e-m me.
Happy & Healthy New Year to you. Bertha C.
Hi Bertha: When you say Wilfred was your great grandfather, are you referring to Wilfred Sr or Jr? Wilfred Jr is my husband’s paternal grandfather. The family has been estranged since 1954 when Wilfred and his wife (my husband’s grandmother) were divorced. We never met Wilfred Jr.
Dear Michelle,
I am not any relation to Wilfred. I do remember working fair dates with him when I was
a Roxyett. I juggled 4 of the hoops which he had. I am now 86 year old. I lived in Corona
where Wilfred and Myrtle use to stay, You can write me at fhcampisi@frontier.com
I will do my best in answering any questions you have.
Sincerly, Bertha Campisi
