Mark Smith’s Girls
Posted By thecircusblog on September 2, 2008
These talented young ladies did everything from trick riding to manage and rosin back. There were two girls that did Roman Riding also.
I never thought that I would ever get a comment on the Mark Smith girls. Brad Farren thank for your comment and for some of there names.
Brad Farren’s mother is on the left standing. Her name then was Janice “Skeeter” Knudsen.

I had a great treat while looking through your blog. My mom Janice “Skeeter” Knudsen is the first standing girl on the left in the Mark Smiths girls photo above. Also pictured standing at the center is Tina “Tina the ballerina” Koehler. My mom eventually married Mark Smiths stepson Harold Farren. I have many pictures of the 101 and Clyde Beatty circus during the 40s and early 50s including more liberty drill. I an scan and forward some if you’re interested.
