Maurice Marmalejo
Posted By thecircusblog on May 8, 2011
This is a Harry Quillen photo shot in 1943 on the Escalante Circus. It lasted for a season plus a few months the following year. The war had a great deal to do with the closing of the show. During the war circuses of all types were combining or closing and performers scattered, as did Maurice. Maurice went with the Gutierrez family. Later they joined the 101 Wild West Show & Circus then on to Siebrand Bros Circus.
The next photo is of the Escalante Circus.

This is a great photo of Maurice Marmalejo. Maurice is my father-in-laws uncle. Do you have more of him & the Gutierrez family? My father-in-laws mother is Juan (John) Gutierrez sister Maria.
