Emmet Kelly was one of the most famous clowns in the world. He performed in the Ringling Bros Barnum & Baily Circus for years. The circus was known as the greatest show on earth. Emmet just may have been the greatest clown on earth.

although I knew Emmet as a very young boy I remember being re-introduced to him at age 11 or 12 in Madison Square Garden 3, which was built by Tex Rickard, John Ringling and a host of their ‘cronies.’ He had the most kind soft round voice.
