Jack Harrison was Peggy Zoppe’s stepfather. He was one of the funniest clowns I have ever seen. He did great clown walk arounds & when he was in drag he was hilarious. Because my parents were such close friends with Peg & Joe, Velma & Jack Harrison were known as Grandma & Grandpa Harrison to me. I was very disappointed to learn that they were not my real Grandparents.
jack was my grandmas (Lola) brother they met in Des Moines in the 60s they hadn’t seen each other since he was a baby it made the local paper. I was a kid & got to go to the clown dressing room. I will never for get the experience. He was great & treated me like his own❤️
