Ma and Pa Quackenbush
Posted By thecircusblog on April 18, 2010
Ma and Pa were master musicians and between the two they could play over fourteen instruments and every show they brought the house down. We worked with them for two seasons during the 1950’s and sadly…we have lost touch. I often think of them and the good times we had.

Hello Mr. Henry,
One of my wifes’ cousins alerted me to these wonderful photos of Ma and Pa Quakenbush.
My wife Lesa Butler is Lillian Deskin’s only grandaughter. We have a lot of Lillian’s show business materials and other information.
Eddie passed away sometime in the early 1950’s and Lillian lived until 1972 on Mercer Isand in Lake Washington. She was a piano teacher in her later years.
Lesa has many fond memories of her grandmother.
We have a live recording of them at the Arizona State fair in the late 1940’s on an old 78. It’s in rough condtion but gives a great sample of their act both in music and comedy.
I have wanted to start a web page about them for some time. Would you mind if we downloaded these photos to add to our Ancestry.com page on Lillian?
Thanks so much for preserving their memories and what wonderful entertainers they were.
