The back ground of the date trees tells me this photo could have been shot in Indio, California at the National Date Festival. Guiding an ostrich is not an easy task. A house broom is needed. By placing the broom along side the head you can turn the Ostrich in the direction you wish to go……. some times. In actuality they run every which way and the audience gets a good laugh out of the confusion.
