Professional elephant trainer Robert “Smokey” Jones held classes for animal keepers working with zoo elephants . At the far right is animal keeper John Kitchen. Smokey’s training fee was paid by GLAZA. Los Angeles Zoo.

Hi there, so excited to finally see my favorite Uncle!!! Uncle Bob taught me to dance/perform with one of his elephants when I was 9 (1967) – it was the MOST fun I’ve ever had!! I have only one pic on my facebook (Mary Tice Parker) with a pic of Uncle Bob and I with Tonza – she was the sweetest elephant – thanks again – have a great lil day!!
