This was J.E. Henry’s house trailer. The house trailer was home made and built by J.E. and his sons as was all the other trailers and semi’s. The under frame of his trailer was from a model A Ford, and the hitch was a steel tongue and pin as there were no ball hitches then. It is known that my grandfather built the first original house trailer. It contained bed, kitchen. small wash area and closets. The roof was constructed with wooden lath and canvas. Some type of masonite material was the outer skin.
