This was Judith, his waltzing tigress. Look for this act via 1940s acts on Coney Island. He is not given name credit, and the flick is brief, but Proske is seen with Judith’s paws on his shoulders, waltzing about the cage. It was too easy for Proske to trip, dancing backwards, and this is how he fell beneath Judith. His injuries are detailed in his book LIONS, TIGERS, AND ME.
