Barnum & Bailey

This is a very rare photo. The original is in my collection. The actual year is unknown to me. I can only guess 1888? to the early 1900’s?

It would be between 1900 & 1902 in Europe. The stock was built in England & used for the 1897-1902 tour, then by “Buffalo Bill”. The “Altona” number shows it was on the European mainland as that was not needed in UK.
I saw your photo of the Barnum and Bailey train car. My dad writes a blog about growing up in a small town in Illinois. StoriesFromSmallTownIllinois.com.
He has drafted an essay about the time the circus came to his small town in 1889. I was wondering if he might be able to use the image to illustrate his story?
