Hello sir,
The polka dots were in different colors during the mid 1960’s. I remember seeing the color photos in one of the prime magazines at the time. Perhaps, Look or Life magazine.

Just found your blog and enjoyed it very much.
This photo is actually from 1961 at Madison Square Garden. The elephant manege that year was “Polka Dot Polka”.
