Lillian Leitzel

In those days, Lillian Leitzel was known as the queen of the circus. In this photo she is doing swinging one armed phalanges. She would do this over and over to the cadence of the circus drum and the audience would count as she did them. It was said that she did over 100. Ringling Bros 1930.
