This was a free headstand that Bongie performed. He was an amazing chimp and was so eager to learn. It got to the point where we had too many tricks in the act so we would change the routine every show. Siebrand Bros Circus 1955. Thank you Tiffany for your comment.

Ma had a talent for taking a non-funny joke that all in the audience knew and disliked ….and in her unique way she could twist it into her own. It became hilarious, of coarse Pa was the brunt of it. They could do a complete show all by themselves.

There were many occasions when the circus would play on the downtown streets. Some of the special events were for non-profit organizations that would sponsor the show as a fund raiser.
