This is what I call papering! Thanks Dan for the great photo. I am quiet sure the circus blogers will enjoy it. I am guessing the photo was taken in the mid 1930’s. It reads on the posters the town they are playing,,,, Lynchburg.

All the different names of show on this poster could be confusing, But this was just another way to advertise the show, sort of like an endorsement of one circus to another…….however they were all owned by the same company. 1938.

As you can see I am very happy with my new find and it is in fine condition. I found it in a second hand store in Florida. There is another poster similar to this one, it was printed in 1886 before Barnum and Bailey became part of Ringling Bros.

A little soap, flower and water mixed up in a bucket…..find a fence, wall, the side of a barn or a building and slap it on. There were a few times you have to pay for the space, but with a circus ticket or two the fix was in.
