P.T. Barnum Show poster before he combined with James Bailey. It is said that Barnum coined the phrase “A sucker is born every minute.” I have been told by a good authority that it was not he but Adam Forepaugh that first said it. It really makes no difference but I think it fits with what our politians would say today. I do believe Barnum was the first to use the phrase” Greatest Show on Earth.”
