The strange odd and the unusual always could be found on a circus or carnival midway. I guess you might say that we were the grass roots of controversy. These flyer’s were handed out to people on the midway. The season of 1949, Siebrand Bros. Toward the back of the midway was a small tent where she would do group and individual readings.

Bert Levey was the preformers agent. Bert booked just about everybody in the business….it made no difference what part of show business you were in. He had an act for every type of occasion. Bert would send out each week a list of performers that went to fairs, circuses, clubs, and to other agents. My family worked numerous show for Bert and you never had to fight for your money. This document is the last if not the only one left. It was given to me for the circus blog from Dorothy Carson. Thank you.

“Pancho” Frank and Danita Roche first joined Siebrand Bros circus in the 1950. They spent the rest of their show business career there. Pancho and Danita were an extremely good Latin American dance team that added a special flavor to the circus. Later Pancho became the announcer for the circus. Pancho also was in charge of set up and tear down. They spent the longest time of any performer on this circus, 18 years.

The Miller elephants were on the Siebrand Bros Circus in 1950 or 1949? I am not familiar with this act. Maybe there is someone who has information on this act. If so please make a comment. This photo came from the Danita Roche collection. Up date 8/27/09 this photo could have been taken in 1952? These are the parents of Buckles Woodcock, Babe and W.H.Woodcock. I figured that it might be them but was not sure……………… I thank Judy Jacobs for the verification. I am not going to change this post. There were Miller elephants on the Siebrand Circus, Danita wrote that name Miller on the back of this photo which was a mistake. This photo is of the W.H. Woodcock elephants. Here is another up date 12-27-11, This photo was taken in the season of 1952.

Francis loved her animals dearly and she had may, everything form bears to birds. Her new addition, shown here was a lion cub. Whether they were in the act or not they were all her pets.
