The only information that I have on this photo is the name Ken Maynard. Maynard was a cowboy movie star and he was a featured performer on Cole Bros Circus as well. However I have never known him to own a calliope. It could have been named after him?

Gentry Bros Circus ticket wagon 1921. The poor condition of the negative was unbelievable to me. I am lucky the image turned out as well as it did. If you look at the top left barley you can make out the name Gentry.
John Winninger is doing a story on Gentry Bros. Please read his comment.

This photo was taken in 1898. I was able to get some info, but most was vague information that was on the negative envelope. It’s written that Joe Anderson was killed by this elephant called Prince. I found another negative which is on the next post. There was no info on it as well or the name of the circus.
I want to thank Bob Cline for his comment on Joe Anderson.

Prince was taken out into the woods, then bound by his front and back legs. He now is made ready for his execution, 1898.

Henry Kyes was the mail agent on the Beatty circus. I wonder if this is the same Henry Kyes that was the band leader on the Polack circus in 1967?
