E.K.Fernandez Circus Cargo

As you can see, loading up the boat was quite a chore. It would take many hours. Animals, performers & equipment had to go on the same boat. E.K. Fernandez was one of the nicest circus owner I have ever worked for….he was a true gentleman and showman.

The Sugerbrown Family Dancers

Chief Sugerbrown

This is Chief Sugerbrown, from the Great Cherokee Nation. He and his family of native dancers & stunt riders played a very important part in the show. 101 Ranch Wild West and Circus 1945.

Johnny Guitierres

Bertha Henry

Bertha was oldest of all J.E. Henry’s children . She performed “Iron Jaw” in the show.  She also helped in the cook house. Later she was married to Al Conners.

The Advance Cars

These are the cars used by the advance man and the 24 hour man . They would go from town to town ahead of the show and hang paper on barns,  fence posts or anywhere you could hang circus advertisement for the show.
