Cat semi tow bar trailer 1938.
Bob Cline dates this wagon at 1944. Please read his comment. Mike I thank you for your comment too. The 1938 date was on the photo envelope. It was written by the person that took the photo. I know no more than that. All corrections are indeed welcomed.

!936. A crowd of circus goers are watching the circus train unload. This most likely was just as important as the main show itself.

I want to say thank you for the support, prayers, cards and letters that I’ve received from you my circus families and friends. My double lung transplant is now three months old. I feel as though I could go back on the road again, thanks to God.
Randy, Bob and Casey. Thank you for your kind comment.

Here is a photo that I never knew existed, but thanks to Bob Cline I now have another photo of the J.E. Henry Circus. I called Bob Cline upon receiving this photo and gave him my profound thanks. We discussed the name change…… notice the blankets on the horses.” The Great Henry’s Show”. On all the other photos that I have ” Henry Bros Big Show” is used. I think this photo may have been taken in 1927 0r 1928, showing Texas or Oklahoma. The reason why I think this, for parades the band always was presented sitting on top of the elephant in a Howdah. However J.E. was known for changing his image and name to give a new and fresh look.

In the fall of 1975 I took Henry Bros Circus back out on the road. Then in June of 1976 Henry Bros was showing with Capell Bros at Legend City Amusement Park in Tempe , AZ. In 1978 I took the show back out on the road for a 8 month tour, which was quite successful. Then returned to Legend City. I put the show in the barn Nov. 1979. The 1905 and 1906 route of course is my grandfather.
Ted Bowman circus route collection. A thank you again to John Polacsek for making it possible for me to have this information on J.E. Henry Circus
