C B #7I don’t know this as being a fact, but I think at one time Carson and Barnes had the largest herd of elephants of any circus.

I was helping with the long mount in 1977. This looks to be correct.

    Hello Ivan,
The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus carried 52 elephants on the show in 1955 with two more elephants on the advance unit.

In 1977, the Carson & Barnes Circus had 33 elephants on the show with 6 others leased to other shows. This made them the second largest herd in American Circus History.

The Hagenbeck-Wallace Circus in the 1930s carried 29 elephants a couple years making them the third largest herd of elephants.
    Take care,
    Bob
