The building in the background of this shot is the same one Mom and Dad bought and moved to Jungleland. After an extensive rehab it became Chucko’s Party House as seen in previous photo with Dad on the ramp.
I’m wondering if anyone could verify that Miss Craig is the daughter of one of our trainers, Hank Craig? Hank was a great friend of mine, a most colorful circus man of long experience. His chimp work was recalled in the book “Wild Tiger and Tame Fleas”. But at Jungleland, the chimp man was the legendary Chief Henry Tyndall, and Hank became respected for military pony drills. In looking at these valued comments by Randy Runyon, I’m deeply grateful we met again after 40+ years, for the brief time Randy had left. He was encyclopedic in his knowledge of Jungleland history. Just hours before his passing, his wife, Joanie, put the phone next to his ear so I could talk to him. His cancer claimed him during the night of Tuesday, February 19, 2013. Randy was only 58. God rest him. He was a blessing to all who knew him.
