May Kovar
Posted By thecircusblog on September 8, 2011
May Kovar followed in her mother’s foot steps and created her own leopard act, and, I might add, it was quite good. Her father and May Kovar Sr. were both cat trainers. In the 1030’s, May’s mother was featured on Ringling Bros. There are photos of her in the earlier portion of the circus blog.
May is now retied and doing well. Every now and again we have a chat on the phone, remembering old times. I don’t know where this photo was taken or the show. Maybe Jackie, her daughter, will make a comment.

Any news on that?,
Greetings,

I was blessed with many hours to ‘cut up Jackpots’ with Mama May, back in the 70s.In fact, our relationship started in Redding Ca in 73 or 74. The performers had not been paid (once again). I think the show was called, Jungle Wonders, the GM/Ringmaster was Bob Chase.
