This is my old friend Casey Gibbs at the tender age of 15. The photo was taken in 1958 on the Gil Gray circus in Springfield, Mo. The show was at the Shrine Mosque arena. What is with the strips Casey SEE……… Comment made by Kandra Robertson.

The prop & animal crew’s coveralls were usually made with whatever heavy material Mr. Gray found at a bargain at the yardage store. That year it was stripes. Mr. Gray usually bought a lot of the material for costumes & designed them too. He was a good bargain hunter. He also had a phenomenal memory when it came to what he had bought & when. He would come back to winter quarters with bolts of material to be unloaded from the trunk of his car. It was like Christmas.
