The front gate of Lakemont Park looks better than ever. I see more greenery than what was there when we were there in the late 1980’s.

The famous “Leap the Dips”. This Roller Coaster is over 100 years old and I believe that the park operates it only on special days.

Back side of the Leap the Dips. It reaches 60 ft at it’s highest point, if I remember correctly. In it’s day it was considered a serious thrill ride.

I see more trees in the park and that is a good thing. In the late 80’s there were hardly any.

I remember moving these picnic buildings further up into the park which made it easier for the patrons to walk to the amusement rides.

This is a #12 Ferris Wheel ground mount. It was probably manufactured in the 1940’s. They indeed are well made and safe. Only a few safety issues ever came up, one being the hair guards, which this one has.
