This band wagon though out it’s early years was rebuilt to change it’s image. On the negative folder are notes that follow. Ringling Bros original wagon name was Germania, then changed to France. This is a menagerie wagon with painted sides… 1900. The notes say that it is a cross cage and was used in parades and also exhibited small animal within the menagerie tent.

Hand carved animal cage wagon… 1914. The elephant in this photo is slightly nudging it forward with her forehead. Both of the men are looking to spot the wagon in a line up.

This ticket wagon I am guessing was in the late 1930’s or early 1940’s because of it’s design and the steel wheels fitted to balloon type tires.

It literally took hours to get this negative into a positive photo. This is as good as it gets so far. This photo was taken in England 1901. The wagon in front is the ticket office. Please read the comment from Fred Neill.
