Jimmy & Dolly Conners

Jimmy Conners is the son of Al Conners Covert and my aunt Bertha May Henry Conners. Jimmy took after his father Al and became one fine juggler. Dolly, Jimmy’s wife, was a sweetheart of a lady and between the two of them… no matter what acts they did ….their acts were top drawer.

In the 1930’s and 40’s there were many oriental acts in the US. Most of there acts consisted of hand balancing, plate sinning and contortion, I would like to ad they were all fine performer and presented fine acts.

Kayletta

Old Time Acrobats

” Old Time Acrobats” was the name of the act. They did modern hand balancing and tumbling. The wardrobe is what sold the act.

Dorothy Carson

This Dorothy Carson Smith in 1940. She and her husband  Lee Smith…and brother John Carson were the well known for their roller skating act” The Royal Rockets’.  Many of the photos that you have seen come from her collection. Dorothy is in her late 80’s now and she she says….. “I could not be better”.
