It seemed like in the 30’s, 40’s and the 1950’s the skies were filled with high pole acts. Now in 2011 I do not know of any that remain in our business. Maybe it’s time for them to make an appearance once again……….. they indeed thrilled the audience.

I am hoping that someone out there in our business can help to identify these aerial acts.

The only thing I can gather from this photo is her name and the year, June 1951? or 1957? I just got a comment saying that this could be Celeste. Thanks Carol. This comment is not for sure. However I magnified photos to compare and there is a resemblance.

Dad and I worked many fairs with the Sky Kings. I even remember their music for the act…….” I Wonder Who’s Kissing Her Now”.

Ruben and his wife Anita did a forehead perch act. The last time that we worked with them was in the mid 1950’s…………. They were such wonderful people.

This is another Dorothy Carson photo from her collection and there are about three hundred more to come on the circus blog. Dorothy was not able to identify many of these photos so any help will be greatly appreciated.
