Some of the photos that are donated to the circus blog come with very little information if any. This photo is an animal cage wagon ….within can be seen two lions. Early 1900’s. This may have been the Yankee Patterson Circus?

What a grand photo this is! Band wagon in front followed by eight matched horsemen. I can not make out what is behind them. I wonder if could be the Yankee Patterson circus ? date around 1910?

Animal cage wagon. There are bars dividing the center of this wagon for the purpose of having two different animal on display. Name of circus unknown to me. I am hoping that someone will recognize the next five photos and make a comment.

Quite often I will use the word “wagon”…. it is something you go up with. In the old days, the circus had wagons pulled by horses. Rubeun Castang was said to be one of the finest great ape trainers of his time. I believe this to be true because of the numerous chimp trainers that praised him…and that includes myself. He is the benchmark for great ape trainers.
