Blackie was my friend. She was more than a pet. We played together in the back yard of the Yankee Patterson Circus. In the early 1940’s. I remember that my dog and I were inseparable. Blackie worked in my Mothers dog act and when the act was over she was with me.

Someone came up with the idea that it would look cute to put Virgina on my shoulders, I don’t think so! Look at my knees buckling. Virgina was the daughter of Jimmy and Ruby Woods.
