This is Chet at Jungleland 1959. He was performing in the back yard arena which also was used by Mabel Stark. Many of the cat trainers chose this arena from the main arena because the floor was dirt, the main arena stage floor was cement.

Photo is from the Carson collection. I remember Slivers and Jo from the Junleland Compound the winter of 1959 or 1960. Sincerely nice people.

When I saw Phi Phi’s act she only worked one chimp and for doing a single it was a very good act. Phi Phi had a great deal of personality and stage presentation.

The photo was taken at a stage show in New York early 1950’s. In the late 1950’s she was at Louie Goebel’s Jungleland compound. Phi Phi did not do her act at Jungleland, Just a visit for the winter.
