Here is a photo that I never knew existed, but thanks to Bob Cline I now have another photo of the J.E. Henry Circus. I called Bob Cline upon receiving this photo and gave him my profound thanks. We discussed the name change…… notice the blankets on the horses.” The Great Henry’s Show”. On all the […]

This is an assortment of routes that John Polacsek put together from the Ted Bowman collection. Ted spent years gathering circus routes. The  J. E. Henry’s route was just one small part of many circus routes that Ted Bowman collected.

From out of 16 pages of my grandfather’s circus routes that John Polacsek sent me I only posted 4. I have to admit that I am surprised in the amount of states and towns that grandfather played. I wish I could find J.E’s show route that he played in the late 1800’s.

The dates were between 1909-1911. It was said by many members of my family that they […]

Setting on the wagon is my grandmother Mable Chase Fairbanks Henry. By the looks of the photo and what I know of my grandmother, the date is near 1900? I believe the man on the bottom right is J.E. Henry. The three men on the left are not my uncles, the little boy near them […]

This one of grandfather’s letterheads. The lion and lady was in the center of this one. These letter heads were used as far back as 19i5 though the 1930’s. There were others types that J.E. used but as his family grew he would add another name to the letter head. I wish I could locate […]

This is what is known as a reader, not really an ad. This reader was put in the local paper along with other readers. It was an information column. John Polacsek collection.
