J.E. Henry mounted on his manage horse. Photo taken in the very early 1900’s. You will notice a two pole big top which only allowed for one ring in between the the poles. I am guessing the date of this photo was 1908 or 1910.

Lining up for the circus parade. My grandfather in his buggy was always in the front, barely seen here on the right of photo. Photo taken in the very early 1900’s.

Back in 2008 I posted these original tickets and letterhead. The reason I have reposted them is because I thought I had lost or may have even thrown them away while cleaning out my office. I frantically have been looking for them ever since to avail, that is until a few days ago. I had […]

From left to right Arthur Henry, Todd Henry, Robert Henry, Glen Henry, and Clifford Henry. Bertha Henry their sister took the photo. 1923? All the boys had a nick name that they had given each other. These are the reasons as close as I can remember being told. I do not want this photo to […]

This was J.E. Henry’s house trailer. The house trailer was home made and built by J.E. and his sons as was all the other trailers and semi’s. The under frame of his trailer was from a model A Ford, and the hitch was a steel tongue and pin as there were no ball hitches then. […]

This is a photo taken by my grandfather J.E. Henry sometime around 1920 give or take a year. You can see a small mud show menagerie banner line. What I would give to have these banners now. Grandfather in the early years never had a large circus, a family show only. In the later 1920’s […]

Here is another photo that my grandfather took. I’m guessing early 1920’s. Again I was rummaging though old boxes and folders and found this photo with some others. It is without question that the find made my day. The man on the running board is my Uncle Arthur the oldest of the Henry boys.

This was a very unique rolling globe act using a 30 foot spy-roll tower. Fussner would walk the globe downwards and of course, with a few exciting moments thrown in for the audience. Fussner was strictly an outdoor act because of his equipment. He did present his act on the front of some circus midways, […]
