First ans foremost I want to thank John Polacsek for sending me these letters concerning my family. They are indeed history. Many were written by my aunt Marie Henry, the wife of Arthur “Bum” Henry. Somewhere, somehow John found these letters and are now part of his circus collection.

These are the towns that grandfather played, some of which I have never heard of. I don’t know if my aunt wrote these or my grandfather J.E. Henry. It really does not make a difference, its here and its history…………… From the John Polacsek collection.

This letter is from the collection of John Polacsek. I think that it is important to put these letters on the circus blog only because of its historic value.

I see in many of Marie’s letters that she tells it like it is and pulls no punches. I get a kick out of the names that I recognize from past years. John Polacsek collection.

There are several more letters that follow. I am sure that you will find them filled with humor and old history along with memories from the past.
