Professional elephant trainer Robert “Smokey” Jones held classes for animal keepers working with zoo elephants . At the far right is animal keeper John Kitchen. Smokey’s training fee was paid by GLAZA. Los Angeles Zoo. Mary Parker has made a comment about her Uncle Bob Jones.

In the photo is Slim Lewis under the tusks of Ziggy. Fortunately he escaped from the wrath of this elephant. This bad attitude is often brought on when male elephants are in musk.
