This tableau is known as the Elephant Tusk. It was sometimes called the Siam Tableau. I have no date on it and as you can see the negative has a few holes in it.

This photo was taken in England in 1901. The tableau wagon’s name is the Snake Den. Please read the comment from Fred Neill.

This heavily carved tableau’s name is Spain. The year is 1896. Seated on top a clown band. I believe is a matador painting in the center of the carving.

Barnum & Bailey’s steam calliope 1917. When I saw this photo I was amazed at the size of this calliope. I have another side shot showing a giant hand caved tuba…. some of it can be seen here in this photo.
