This photo was taken in his silent movie days. Tom Mix only made a few “talkies” as they called them in those days.

Tom Mix did most of his own stunts as did many other actors of his day. I believe this is a scene where Tom is getting ready to jump on an outlaw as he is trying to make a get-away on his horse. Photo source history.com/this-day-in-history.do

The picture is of Jack Wright and the niece of Tom Mix. This photo could have been taken either on the Tom Mix circus or on the 101 Ranch. It is a back yard shot. Ken Reno needs help. Please read his comment.

To tell you the truth, I love to read these old posters. They were created to excite the public and their imagination and thus brought them to the circus. Tom Mix is featured in this season with Sells Floto. Does any one remember Hoot Gibson? He was another famous movie cowboy and he worked in a few after shows. […]

Could this be the Tom Mix Circus Band? What makes me think so, notice the man in the ticket box upper left corner … note the Cowboy hat.
