The name of this clown is unknown to me…if you know him please make comment .This was another clown drag costume.  This photo also was taken on the Clyde Beatty Circus, 1949 or 1950…… Note the tent makers name on the side wall, you can barely see it.

This is a photo of Cleo in Clown drag. There were many wardrobe changes with the circus clowns. Cleo used this costume for his clown walk-around.   Photo taken on the Clyde Beatty circus 1949 or 1950.

Clyde in Winter Quarters

Clyde Beatty at the Peru, Indiana winter quarters. This photo was taken in the mid 1920’s. This also appeared in the book “Big Cage” published in 1933 by Century Publishing Co. It was co-written with Edward Anthony.  Later the story was filmed by Universal studio also in 1933.
